ABOUT
The Kiyora™ Method is a premium health, wellness, and longevity coaching practice for business leaders and professionals.
The name Kiyora comes from three Japanese characters – 基 (ki: foundation), 良 (yo: goodness), and 羅 (ra: encompass or protect). Together, they express a core belief: A strong foundation of wellbeing creates the conditions for a long, resilient, and fully expressed life.
The Kiyora Method was created in response to a growing and often overlooked reality: we are living through a health crisis. Too many adults are drifting into preventable mid-life illness - not for lack of discipline, but because no one teaches us what truly protects long-term health. Modern healthcare focuses on treating disease once it appears. Prevention, however, sits squarely in our hands.
Kiyora’s mission is to empower people with the awareness, clarity, and capability to take control of their health and protect themselves from lifestyle-driven illness - so they can fulfil their potential professionally, and continue to thrive in the decades of life ahead.
Long-term health isn’t determined by your genes. It’s shaped by your daily habits.
Only 20-25% of health is genetic. The rest is within your control.
Did you know:
-
Ultra-processed foods increase chronic disease risk by 25–30% and drive inflammation — a key accelerator of aging.
-
Low fitness is as strong a predictor of early death as smoking or diabetes.
-
Chronic stress increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes by up to 50% - even in people who exercise.
The good news:
-
Including more whole foods in your diet lowers inflammation and lifts energy within days.
-
Just 10–15 minutes of strength training a day can reverse age-related muscle decline.
-
Consistent sleep boosts immunity, increases energy, reduces cravings, and sharpens your mind.
-
Walking just 5,000 steps a day significantly reduces cardiovascular, stroke, diabetes, and all-cause early-mortality risk.
Small consistent habits done every day = Big returns.

MY STORY
I’m Henry Osborn, a health and wellness coach for senior business leaders and professionals. I help my clients build the structure, habits, and clarity they need to sustain their health and performance over the long term.
I know first-hand how easily health can be sidelined in a demanding career. Despite being a lifelong athlete, I began experiencing a series of sudden and unexplained health issues in my thirties and forties - crippling joint pain, hearing loss, insomnia, digestive problems, and balance issues. Then a pre-diabetic diagnosis became the turning point that pushed me to rebuild my health from the ground up.
Rather than searching for quick fixes, I went back to the very basics. I simplified my nutrition, focusing on fresh, whole foods and reducing highly processed and refined ones. I became more strategic with exercise - spending less time in the gym, but balancing strength training with aerobic and zone-2 work. I introduced small, sustainable stress-management practices into my daily routine, prioritised restoring my sleep, and aligned my habits with the person I wanted to become and the life I wanted to lead - not just the one I was reacting to.
Over time, these simple but consistent changes completely transformed how I felt and functioned - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I soon realised I wasn’t alone. Through my work as an executive coach, I saw the same pattern in others: accomplished professionals struggling with stress, energy, and mid-career burnout in ways that were quietly eating away at their confidence, wellbeing, and effectiveness as leaders - often with nowhere to turn for support. Over time, I found that the most meaningful breakthroughs with my executive coaching clients came from restoring the foundations of physical, emotional, and mental health.
These experiences led me to create The Kiyora Method - a holistic, science-based framework that integrates wellbeing, resilience, performance, and recovery, and equips leaders with the knowledge and habits they need to protect their long-term health.
I’m a certified Health & Wellness Coach (IIN) and an accredited Executive Coach (ICF, GLLC Japan). I hold an M.A. from Oxford University and an MSc in Organizational Psychiatry & Psychology from King’s College London. I’m also a member of the British Psychological Society, have published research on mindfulness and global leadership development, and frequently guest lecture at leading universities in Japan.
Born in the UK to British and Japanese parents, I’ve lived in Japan for 25 years and am fluent in Japanese. I live in Kamakura with my wife - a former professional athlete and yoga teacher - and our two sons. Alongside the Kiyora Method, I run Osborn & Mori Partners K.K., an executive search and coaching firm. On weekends, you can usually find me coaching or supporting at the local youth rugby club. I also enjoy trail running and walking - and after 5 years of slowly making my way along the Ohenro Pilgrimage in Shikoku each spring, am now up to temple 79!
